My IRCM has The Number F1SF-128577-AA, (ALSO HAS A 555 AND A M19R) iTS A 1992 5 SPD, Are all IRCM's interchangeable? I noticed some for sale That have different starting numbers and end in AB, will these work? Thanks

89 - 90 have a different number than 91 - 93. IIRC, the newer ones will work for 89 - 90, but the older ones won't work for 91 - 93. AA and AB suffix on the engineering ID number should be interchangeable.

94 - 95 are different again, and will not work.

That's a 91 part number. Ed can probably confirm that, because he's the pro, but an 89 part would be E9SF, and the 91 would be F1SF.

So it will have to be another unit starting with the digits F1SF, to be the correct one for your car.

Is the only source for these NOS from Ford or from a used vehicle? Seems like I tried searching parts stores for one a while back and came back with nothing.

ROCK AUTO carries them listed under relay control module under the electrical section of their catalog i believe.

Weird. They list one for a '90 XR-7 but not for an '89. No wonder I couldn't find it. Looks like it is a rebuild service of some sort. I thought I recalled someone on here that took one of these apart and fixed it.

Hello there my IRMC started with weird studies tap it on the side and plup sound camo out of the trotter I have a 1992 SC and it start with E9SF is that the correct IRCM for that year?
