I've Recovered

Well after a long hiatus, somewhere over 5yrs, yes I'm back. I know wasn't as active here as Tccoa but.

Long story short I moved SC was stolen while in storage and just got it back yesterday; found it missing when went back to AR to view the eclipse. It was sold under a illicit duplicate title (signature was forged nevermind the duplicate request being fraudulent) and registered in Illinois. Now have to get it Titled in my new state and repair a broken harmonic balance bolt and track down what has been done to the wiring.

What has been the verdict on Rockauto balancers? Besides that just getting the wiring back to my standard and fix the tint, will need 3 new center caps. Amazingly the car is clean and basically undamaged.

Yes I waited to post until I secured the car, not knowing how the owner in Illinois would act, if he was here. Dustin if you are I'm sorry you lost the car and will give you any and all information I have for you to recover on your purchase of the car.

Well I got the bolt out thanks to a drill guide and a LH drill.

Other question, what is eveyone's opinion on fluid change. It was in storage for 4 years before it got taken to IL, I don't know what maintenance was done there after it was registered and was being drive. Oil is a given how about transmission oil, brake fluid and what about fuel? Not accusing previous guy of anything but CYA is coming to mind.

Fred, those balancer are now $200 USD on Amazon. SCP is basiclly $300.

Transmission fluid should be fine. I would probably change the oil, coolant, and brake fluid. If it hasn’t run for 4 years, that fuel is definitely bad. If it is down at or below 1/4 tank, I would probably just fill it up with premium and go easy on it for the first tank, then change the fuel filter. If it is full, then I would disconnect the line and power the fuel pump directly to pump it out.
