I'm trying to be more organized for car events this year!!!

I was wondering if registrations can be open sooner this year,
also will it be in Kentucky again?

Also some have advised to drink a few beers before even attempting
to work on the cars LoL I guess so you don't get so stressed out
real fast!!!

We are shooting for October 12th but that is not yet cast in stone, same track and hotel in KY as last year.

Tom -

Registration will definitely be open earlier this year. Yesterday we developed an entirely new registration system and development took longer than anticipated.

Probably won't change the fact that MANY registrations were on the last day of registration, so. . . :)

It is easier if it was open months ahead of time....
A month before the Shootout doesn't work for some people,
just sayin!!

I can't say it will be open MONTHS ahead of time - maybe two months? If people can't get registered in that time frame. . . Tell us what the issue was, Tom - maybe we can fix it.

We will definitely have dates posted WAY in advance like last year. Even if the actual reg isnt open until 2 months before everyone will have a ton of time to plan

Oh yeh, if you're talking about just the dates of the actual event for planning purposes, I hope we have that nailed down before summer even starts!

I think an earlier registration works out because people tend to register when they have some extra $$$ If its last minute you are scratching together cash to fix youre car lol

Question?

Question here - Wondering what the Shootout is? Where it takes place? Is it all SC's? Sounds cool and I'd love to go.

Bingo!!!!

Repairs, 5-600 in gas alone!!!

I think if the registrations were open in July their might be a better turn out?

Heck, Carlisle is in June 6-8 and you can register now and get a room reserved Thanks to Ken Seegers and Pat!!!

And yep I'm registered and have no worries about it!

Well, just ranting and bringing up ideas Thanks for reading!

It is a club gathering where its a weekend of an all SC car show, tech dyno, and drag racing at a rented out drag facility in Kentucky. I have not made it yet (since this is my first year owning my SC) but have hear alot about it on the forums. Its a very big event and alot of fun (so I've heard)...

It's held in Kentucky. Everyone brings their SC, drinks gallons of Whiskey, then we line the cars up and shoot holes in them. We have a blast blowing holes in the cars. Usually, everyone is a good shot except for Pat. When he shoots, he screams then his pants fall down and he hits someone 100 yards away on the opposite side.

Tom,

The only thing holding us up right now is getting the track rental nailed down. I have been trying to get that done since October 15th.

We requested Oct 12th as our first choice and October 5th as our second choice. The track owner said that we will definitely get the rental for one of those two dates, but couldn't confirm which date until talking with another group (much larger than ours) to make sure there wasn't a conflict with their event.

Until the track is nailed down (signed contract in hand) we can't book the mobile dyno or block rooms at the hotel. We have made sure both were available for either date, but can't firm up the dates until we get the track under contract. I expect this to all happen in early spring when the track reopens and the owner starts answering emails and phone calls.

As soon as we get the date set we will make an announcement.

David
