MPX Plenum

Hey Everyone,

For those who are familiar with the end of the MPX plenum that connects to the TB does this look correct? It looks like two different sized halfs were used to make this. The right "half" is clearly smaller and off set. Any input?

Looks like the pattern shifted when pouring casting. Line up your TB with bolt holes and open throttle plate to see if there is any of the inlet casting smaller than TB bore. If there is grind it off. Doubt you will need to do anything unless using a 95mm TB.

Yes my TB was smaller than the opening so we left it. I have been digging around and attempted to email Charles from MP to find the torque spec for the front snout bolts that tie it to the case. I know the case is aluminum and I do not want to pull the threads out. From what I have seen, there is a wide recommendation range for these front bolts ranging from 15-22ft-lb all the way upto 65ft-lb. Do you happen to have any idea what these bolts should be tightened too? Thanks!

I had my snout and all the other parts of supercharger pipes on and off numerous times and never used a torque wrench. I would always tighten them to about 25 ft lb. and use a thin coat of high temp RTV to seal the surface.

Charles just got back to me and he recommended 15ftlb max for the MPX. I had assembled everything yester and found the my SC was leaking oil every where. Upon inspection I found my bottom bolts on the snout have a slight gap between the heads and the snout. Going to pull everything apart and find out why they are not making contact. Thanks for the responses David
