Does anyone have a good functioning radiator for a 1990 Tbird SC, automatic transmission? Please contact me on this thread. Nick Johnstone

Rock Auto was the first place I checked. Out of stock. Neither my mechanic or I can find the appropriate radiator anywhere. Thought someone in the SCCoA might have a used, NOS, plastic or aluminum radiator for sale.

Appears to be a few used units in Ebay in the $200-300 range.

Bill at SCP usually has Griffin radiators for 500-600$.

My suggesting if you have someone able to do fab work. Purchase a universal option from jegs/summit and weld the mounting points on. Probably be less than a Griffin with similar quality and less worry than a used option.

Thanks for all of your help. I was just informed by my mechanic that he received my radiator this morning and it came from Radiator Express. It's aluminum because that's the only ones being made for the SC, and it took 8 weeks and 2 days from the date that he ordered it. The car is a 35th Anniversary edition that I've had for over 30 years and driven for over 209,000 miles, but it's so frustrating to get parts now that I may sell it as soon as another part breaks. So glad I'm a member of this club.

So he already had 1 on order for 8 weeks when you made the post?

Yes, my mechanic ordered it over 2 months ago from the only place he could find, but we thought it was never coming. Therefore, I told the mechanic if I can find a radiator through the SCCoA, he could cancel the order. Now I know that the SCCoA is the first place to look for parts on my car. Thanks again to all the respondents.

Getting parts definitely has gotten difficult in recent years, but between all of us on here, we either have or know where to get most things to keep them running. Don’t give up on it yet!

I have a used radiator for a manual sc/Xr7 but it needs rebuild. If someone can use it I’ll sell for shipping and 50.00 - just pm me!
