My three SC's all have the original Teves2 brake systems. Changing out the brake fluid, and replacing the accumulator, seems to work so far. If years of use, (or even sitting), without brake fluid flush outs, and accumulator replacements, then the master assembly may be beyond saving. Both my 89 5 speed drivers, have new Hydac accumulators.
I went through 3 motors. When the first one quit it was the orginal one possibly I'm not sure I got it in 2018.ireplaced the pressure switch and accumulator 6 months later the 2nd motor failed (Used so I understand condition was relatively unknown) the 3 months later the 3rd failed and I decided I was done pulling that thing out and went conventional. In south Carolina we don't have snow/ice like other places so abs wasn't a major point of consideration for me.

My moment of clarity when it comes to the Teves systems was when the original one failed in my 90 XR7. The motor failed internally, but that’s OK, I have 2 spare complete units I pulled from other cars I parted out over the years. I decided to test them before installing them, and both spares also had failed motors! Great! So after hanging on to these obsolete irreplaceable worthless hunks of Rube Goldberg braking systems for the better part of a decade, I can’t even use either one of them when I need one! I converted the car to a regular booster, and haven’t thought about or worried about brake failure since!

Bout the same as what I went through only I didn't already have all 3 motors but what I do have now I don't have problems with

Addressing TEVES II motors. I found some alternator refurbishment shops can overhaul the motor if you ask. I am always on the lookout for services with the Do It Yourself in mind. This is the latest.
