Hey, sorry I couldn't edit the title again for some reason..

I'm currently asking Price-Drop: $3,000 for the electric-current red SuperCoupe

I'm south of Atlanta on I-85

I can also do a trade, but no SC's.. And if I trade it needs to be with a car of equal value, but I'd PREFER cash anyway.

I REALLY want to sell it on here, I've been posting it on a lot of Craigslists and have been receiving calls/messages from people who don't even know what it is and are low-balling me. :(

I truly want it to go to someone who appreciates it and will maintain it.

I need it gone soon, so who ever is the first to come to get it with a decent amount of cash or trade will get it.

I'm at full disclosure about the car so I don't waste anyone's time.

The car as it is now:

THE GOOD:

Great interior, (minor imperfections at the top of the rear seats from sun damage, and bottom of the driver's seat needs to be resewn)

No Sunroof (from what I hear, that's rare)

Electric Current Red (also rare)

New radio

3% (I think) pulley (off of a 89-93 SC) I put the 89-93 SC belt on it and it fits well.

New headlights, bulbs and headlights themselves

Hella fogs (hardwired to be on with lowbeams)

New belts

The BAD:

RUST.... Had it looked at by my friend who is a mechanic and he says it's not really bad at all. It's "surface" stuff not causing structural damage. However, where the ground effects connect to the rocker-panels has deteriorated (a common problem I think) I re-secured the side-skirts to each-other and it looks brand-new from the outside

Odometer is broken, it indicates 99,108. The previous owner said to add about 30,000. I looked at the vehicles history and remember thinking that is plausible.

The Check Engine Light is on. I tried to decode it myself but, it didn't work.
I can't find an autoparts store that has an OBD-1 Diagnostic Tester

***EDIT I figured out how to do an Engine-Off diagnostic. I received code 214; a fault in the Distributorless Ignition System (DIS)
Car has new plugs and wires though.
The CEL is on about 50% of the time. Not depending on how long the car has been running

Paint has some imperfections, but decent for the original paint of a 17 y.o. vehicle. Only fading is on the rear bumper

I've had the balancer re-injected with new rubber because it had been causing the engine to vibrate. It's back on and there is still a TINY vibration, but I'm guessing a completely new balancer should do the trick.

Second gear needs synchos, but I've learned to drive it pretty easily. Down shifting is difficult, but doable.

The shifting isn't as tight as it should be. That problem needs to be fixed when the tranny is worked on.

It's perfectly drivable as is, for it has been my daily-driver. :)

Your CEL is on probably because of the CAM sensor. Its an easy fix, just so ya know. Theres information on this sight regarding testing it by unplugging it. I would do a search

Why did you remove your pics on this post with your salt damage?

http://www.sccoa.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1019229#post1019229

I can see from your post you had pics and I can see you edited the post on 6/10.

The forum wasn't going to let me post the same pictures on two different threads, so I had to remove them from the original in order to post them elsewhere. I was able to repost other pictures because they were still on the camera and I could import them differently. I still have some pictures I took for a potential buyer. In no way am I trying to be deceitful, I just should've made sure I still had them before removing them.

Hope this clears things up

That isn't that rusty at all. I have seen way worse. What is the condition behind the rocker panels behind the GFX?

The sheet metal between the GFX and Rocker-Panels has completely deteriorated. As I understand, that area holds water; but am not completely certain as I've never been able to see it intact in real life haha. So that damage extends back but it is gradually less and less severe. I can take pictures directly in-front of the rear wheel.

I would check out that cam sensor as suggested. If it fixes the problem you would be very happy in the way it drove.
Probably pick one up on the forum used for cheap.
The car looks nice and if the engine ran like a stock 94/95 should I don't think you would sell it.
You really don't know what one drives like because you haven't sorted out the problem from day one.
It is night and day from your current performance!

Not trying to be a stick in the mud. I love your car and it has massive potential. It's just that you have never been able to experience how cool these cars are to drive yet as yours feels like it is running on three cylinders.

Here's some pictures. The other side is missing the red screw, but it is still secure, for I secured the ground-effects to each-other. I didn't get a good picture of it because it was dirty and hard to see that side.

Bro I hate to sound like a A$$ but it seems like you really needy here, ive got 1000 I will offer you in a open forum. The tranny issue does not help you. No moonroof/sunroof equals 1 less option on the bird. Sorry for my reality check but that's what its worth.

I feel like its worth more then $1000 bucks

It might be worth 3,000-3500 if there were no trans/ engine issues

If someone's going to buy it and take it to a shop for repair they're going to pay 2,000-2500 for it as it sits maybe less

Seeing that rust really kills the price anyone buying the car because they want to revive it or restore it are going to be turned away because of the cost to cut and weld rocker panels and a paint job on top of mechanical work

Not trying to stir anything up just offering my opinion

Allow me to put things into perspective. I paid 3K for my 94SC a year ago and it was a south carolina car with no rust anywhere. In fact when it was up in the air at the exhaust shop they couldn"t believe the condition of the car. My car yours needed interior work as it had the same busted out seams in the back seat. It alos needed motor mounts, etc.

Rotted out rockers panels to the buyer that has the ability to repair it themselves may not be a big deal. To the everage buyer that means big dollars at a body shop. It's probably a 1500 dollar job plus paint and that is assuming there aren't any other hidden treasures once you start cutting out the rotted steel.

In short you can find a killer SC for about 5-6K these days that doesn't have structural issues.

Guys I paid 750 for my pearl white 95 auto !!!! Not only is she beautiful she is a runner !!!!!, Not perfect but well worth 4X what I paid for her. Just my opinion. GLWS
