Ohio Chapter

youngstown ohio here... i'd be in for this... why doesn't ohio have a chapter yet? Aren't a lot of big guys from ohio? Isn't Super Coupe Performance based in southern ohio? Why do we have to be all regionalized, why not the whole state?
We're trying to put together a local one now.We had a couple get togethers in Sharon this year.Sorry you missed them.I live in New Castle and a couple more guys live in the area.Keep an eye on the forums to see the progress.Dan

My buddy and i live in Medina, and would be curious about a "North Ohio Chapter" or "Lake Erie Chapter". Just need to know what to do and when to do it. The 89 is curently under surgery, and will be done as soon as i get off my lazy @$$ and get it done. Plus its cold and my tools dont appreciate the cold.

Damn, why have'nt I noticed this thread until now  :D. I would really like to see an Ohio Chapter be created. My problem is I live right smack dab in Columbus so I am in a pickle of a situation either way you look at it. Everyone seems to be in the Cincinnati or the Cleveland area as Dave said and that really leaves me all by my loansome in the middle. I would like to see a chapter where people from central Ohio get included as well. For some reason to me it seems like there could be a chapter for Northern OH, Western PA, and maybe a little sliver of MI as well. Then there could be a Southern OH and parts of Northern KY chapter as well. So where does central OH go to? The problem that central OH is facing is that there is a lack of support for the club in the area.

One problem that seems to be occuring is that the people in central Ohio are not willing to drive 3 hours for a meet and then there is little old me that does make the effort to drive the long distances. Now I hope I have not ruffled a few fethers of anyone from central Ohio by me saying that but honestly Dave sends out invites plenty early in advanced for meets. I encourage anyone from the central Ohio area to show up at the next meet to show that there is intrest and support for the sccoa in central Ohio.

I'll stop ranting now :D :D :)

Why the fudgy fudge fudge dont we have Lake Erie and Tri State chapters yet? Lets go George, get a move on and make us some chapters.

Shane you would have the beneift of attending either of the meets. Think of the glass as being half full. It may be a bit more to drive, but you have more meets you can attend.

i'm closer to MI than either Cinci or Cleveland, its only an hour from my house to Toledo and 1.5 hours to Columbus. I am not sure what would be easier for me, but I'd be in for whatever.

;) It seems to me you guys all need to sit down somewhere and work this out over a few beers. If noone minds a suggestion from an outsider, why don't you just makes plans on meeting one Saturday and do that? I know, why doesn't everybody just pick a place in the middle of the state, say, for example, Dayton or somewhere around there, and mark out, oh I don't know, pick any day, say, Sept 30th, and you can all just sit around, compare cars, and talk about this all you want.

I mean, I know I'm not from around there, and I don't mean to be making any suggestions that may upset people, but it just seems so.... so.... $^$#^# OBVIOUS!!! :D

See you all at the Shootout?? ;)

Your going to the shootout right? I mean with it in Dayton it will be a great oppertunity for you to meet a lot of the club members and see their cars.
