I have heard a flashing check engine light can mean bad crank position sensor. Mine went bad last year but no flashing light.
May want to go ahead and buy one if you can. I can share pictures of the instructions to replace it from my 1993 Ford Thunderbird shop manual if you want. Very important to get the gap/spacing right between the sensor and the “blades” or vanes on the back of harmonic balancer. They say to use a matchbook box but I used the official gauge and it is the same thickness as a Rock Auto magnet.

Thanks for the recommendation, i have been checking codes no constant codes I have only gotten a maf code cleaned it today and now the car dies right when it get above cold when idling i checked codes(key on engine off)when it would die nothing that would explain why it was dying but when the test would happen the fuel pump would keep on priming and fan would come on and off even when it was showing the codes to me. Sorry for the late update

so i know that this is a little different than your car but I did have issue with my 97 lx where the MAF was bad and it didn't throw any codes. I ended up having to get another MAF off a used car (cause the parts store one was worse than the bad one) and that fixed it. and I had tried to clean it to no avail. so I'm not saying I'm sure thats what your issue is but its something to look into. if at all possible try to get an original MAF or a known good used one and see if that gets you anywhere.
