Prototype 1/2" ID fuel rails

I have made up a set of prototype fuel rails that I will be putting on my car shortly. These are 5/8" OD, DOM, .035 wall tube. They require a small amount of modification to the inlet plenum & return plenum and the flanges on the sides of the MP2, nothing that a small grinder or a half round file can't handle. I wanted to see if there is anyone that would be interested in a set. I'm not sure how they would fit with a different SC such as an AR or a MPX case.

what kind of pricing were you looking at?
At what power point do the rails become "needed"?
From reading the forums there seem to be plenty of 400+hp cars running stock rails, cool part, just weighing against other required parts vs cool stuff. They look great, there were several others shown here in the past that were a mismash of pipe fittings, and were not near as nice as what you made.

fuel rails

Im' one of those 400 hp guys with the summertime blown head gasket blues due to poor fuel delivery. The 1/2" rail will have more volume @ pressure to keep the injectors well fed. It would be $275.00 for a set, these are hand made and a bit tricky due to the fact that the injectors are staggered and not straight down. I can make them in #6 an, or #8 an line fittings. The set in the pictures are #8 inlet, #8 cross over and #6 return. I have no idea of how wide an Auto Rotor is so.. I"m not sure that they will fit. I would need some measurements.

Have you thought about doing the billet aluminum rails? You can but a special bit and rail stock. It be easier to produce

I looked at the billet rail stock and that wont work. If you look closely at the pictures you can see that the tube is slightly bent here and there for clearance around the sc, toward the back where the rear bolts for the sc and where the coil is and where the water port is. These are not that easy to make the injectors are in a straight line but with the size and hight of the pipe it has to move around things a bit and at the same time line up to the injectors.
 
its been don eis th eonly reason I mentioned it. Two version had been made. Straight billet and then billet with aluminum tube. In the billet to aluminum tube versions the injectors were fitted into the billet aluminum portion and the tubes connecting those portions. That was for clearance. Whatever is easiest because either way youde be benifitting

I know I'm not the first one to do this, I was just planing on making them for myself and went with the most straight forward, lest expensive way and have them look good. I figured I would post them and see if others would be interested, we spend big money on these cars and I know that these rails wont make the car go faster but they will help to get the fuel where it needs to be. They may seem a bit pricy but if your up grading the complete fuel system I'd want bigger rails too. After throwing more good money after bad by having to redo my fuel system it's getting the big rails just because.
 
I wasnt knocking you. I actually like the way they look. CLoser to a factory look. I was just saying it may be easier for you to do it the other way if you planned on selling/making these. If I hadnt already had mine done Id of picked up a set in a heartbeat

It's cool, I didn't take it that way. I like to make things from scratch, I enjoy the challenge. I really wasn't planing on selling them just figured if I could make few sets here and there why not.
