Rear brake upgrades?

I'm not sure but I think you might have fitment issues with that setup. i think about buddy of mine may have used xts calipers

Of you plan on autocrossing you don't want to use 20" wheels, no sidewall, no flex, with the weight of these cars you will slide right off the track. 19s are really too big. 18s give a good balance and have quite a few size and tire brand choice. Then of course 14" rotors don't clear. If you're having bias issues with the scp kit you might have other issues causing it. My tbird is around 500hp and 500tq and I have zero issues with the cobra setup, even with 160-0 stops. Like Dave said about his, mine stops better than any other car I've driven. Bigger brakes might look good, but with the wheel size required you loose more benefits on the track than they are worth.

What brakes do yoi have?

These cars don't have normal brakes even stock with the teves system. I check with tim he bought the same front setup you did but he hasn't tried to install it yet. I'm telling you my brakes are insane. They are 3x better than stock I barley have to touch them and fwiw my car should make 500 plus too I just havnt dynoed it since the new 4.2 and 2.1 kenne bell.

Mine doesn't have the teves system, it's a lx so no abs, it has the four port master with individual lines from it to each wheel. I know Dave's car and he knows mine, if we both have no stopping issues and as long as you're not going with a boosted coyote setup or something crazy like that the cobras are more than enough. If you feel nose diving then I'd check your brake lines and hoses, ect. I did the fronts first and did notice it nose diving some. I then did the rear swap and never felt it again.

mine has a new teves system braided lines brembo front w 13.25 rotors and cobra rears. my car is a built 4.2 with a 2.1 kenne bell. On the last road rally we drove them pretty hard and I never had an issue going from 100+ to 25 or 30 around corners

I've purchased the same setup of parts you've mention on using. 14in gt500 rotors, s and s relocation bracket inserts and the xts calipers. Not autocross related but thought it would be interesting for content purposes. Also I picked up braided brake hoses...all in $900 or so...which is still cheaper than some of the other bolt on "big brake" options.

Im running a mustang 19x9 saleen speedstar wheel up front, I believe everything will clear. The calipers and rotor are absolutely massive incomparison to OE brakes.

Perhaps it's time for me to start this and can document the outcome.
