reuseable gaskets for supercharger plumbing

so i had to remove supercharger tubing and have always uged gore gasket tape to reseal but discovered i didnt have enough fo rthe whole job. i reached out to the family here and was made aware of some plastic like gaskets that are reusable. sounded ok so i ordered some and installed them. when i started the car and drove it it felt like half the normal torque had disappeared . it idles ok just no oomph when you get it in second and put your foot in it. Are these gaskets prone to leak or do i need to really tighten way down . the sealing tape did not require alot of tightening to get a good seal. is anybody else using these gaskets and what is your experience. i might just go back to the sealing tape if i can find some.

I use these gaskets on both my cars. No issues. Infact, once I forgot to tighten the lower tube bolts on the plenum side, I could hear the air leak. You know like when you were a kid and would blow on a thick piece of grass between both your thumbs and it would make that high pitched squeaking sound? (Thats the best I can explain it lol) I would think your idle would be rough if you hadnt sealed the tube properly. Why did you take the tube off to begin with? Did you loosen a plug wire? PCV valve come out of yhe valve cover?

couldnt get number 4 plug wire attached. car idles but rough and not power or torque.

Its hard to say but maybe just recheck your bolts. Didntou remove the top with the upper tube or loose the spanner nut remove the tube? If you loosened the nut, check to make sure that gasket its seated properly too. I assume you were doing plugs? Did you reconnect the wires in the correct order?

Maybe I misunderstood that but I thought he was answering my question on why he removed the tubes to begin with ....because he couldnt get the number 4 wire on.
Oh, maybe I misunderstood, I knew he removed the piping to replace all the wires & had forgotten where they went on the coil.

im pretty sure i got the plug wires attached to the right places on the coil . just havent ever used these sealing gasgets before. i have had tubes of the replace plugs and wires before and used the gore gasket tape to reseal and it fired right up no issues following reassemble. also i noticed a pinging sound with the car in gear (mine is manual trans) and i have never heard this sound before. im just going to remove everything again and check for gasket placement and posible obstructions. i used a spanned wrench to remove top collar nut.
