Yep - you read that right. In South Carolina, we drive the nice cars in the fall, winter and spring and drive the beaters in the summer. It's just the opposite of the snow belt cycle. I used to keep my favorite cars out all year, then I had paint bubble on an interior part because it got so hot inside on a 105 degree day. I've also had dashboards warp, speaker grills melt, leather crack and the foam pads on a phone holder turn to dust. So - the SC stays inside the garage in the summer. That's probably why the headlights are still clear, the clearcoat intact and the leather soft. I do drive it on summer nights, though. So, today I took the SC out with my 80 year old mom (whose car it actually is) and attempted some Christmas shopping. She prefers my wife's van, so this was the first time she'd been in the SC in months. The weather was perfect and the car did great. It's amazing to me how modern a 25 year old car can seem.
