Tried a clutch bleed. Read forums already. Still have some questions-

I've bled many brakes over my lifetime, but this is the first time I've done a clutch, and it's a different dragon altogether to me.
Been sleuthing forum threads on and off over the late summer and early fall to try to prepare myself. Alas I still have questions:

1, How do you gravity bleed? I was under the impression you just crack the bleeder wide open and let gravity do the rest, but nothing came out when I tried
2, If you perform the classic open, press, close, depress method with a buddy, what does it mean if fluid stops traveling through your drain tube and instead just wiggles in place every time the press step happens? Worse yet, why does it look like it's trying to backfeed into the system sometimes?
3, How on earth do people get a pry bar through the inspection window to press the throw-out bearing? Cat removal? It's kinda in the way big time
4, How can I get the ABS pump to "activate" every time I key the car on? First time I keyed it on after attempting the classic bleed it was puking a load of air bubbles and sucking new fluid into the system before finishing its setup, and I'd like to force it to run again to continue evacuating bubbles
5, I have a Motive Works power bleeder somewhere in my workshop that I use with my Focus ST. Would it be far more sensible to just get an adapter and use that instead? Would there be any sorta interference to be aware of?

ABS and clutch aren't connected.... So activating the abs does nothing as far as brake bleed. I did mine with the old one person ores thr clutch about 20 times open bleeder, close bleeder repeat be constant on checking fluid it doesn't hold much
