Hey guys, my 1990 super coupe is having some issues. Just installed a new water pump and everything's back in its proper place. Problem is she won't start. Have fuel and battery but she's behaving like there's no spark between us anymore. Any ideas what could cause this? I really need this car back in the road since she's a shared daily driver between me and my son.

Seeing you were doing w/pump I'd be looking at crank or cam sensor & the wiring harness they share.
There should be a code stored if it lost 1 or both those signals. Does the tach move/jump while cranking?
I've never felt comfortable using a 34 year old car & technology as a daily.

I used to do "problem solving", for a few body shops. After they described the issue they were having, I would ask, "where did you guys work on this thing last". Most of the time it was unseen crash damage, disconnected, or cut wiring harnesses, blown fuses/fuselinks, missing O-rings on a/c lines, etc.
does the teves until charge when you switch it on? the reason I ask that even though brakes are unrelated to your question is i'm wondering if the any of the electronics are coming on? there is a ground right infront of the battery that if it gets disconnected it stops pretty much anything electronic from turning on. its a circular connection
Seeing they have not been on since I assume they've already figured it out or it wasn't as desperate as he implied.

Hey 35th fella , thank you for posting here. I have a 1993 sc that is doing something very weird. Car Wil start the out of no where will turn car off then will try to restart car and there won't be any lights or chime in the car, is like everything is dead so I'm going to try that ground.
