I believe there are a few SC'ers up in the Dallas area, as I really don't think there are many from Amarillo. A few of us live down around the Gulf, from SA to New Orleans. There aren't a bunch of SC's in the southern states, compared to the NorthEast or MidWest. So as you can see we are kinda stretched out, but we have managed to have a small meet in the Houston area from time to time.

I believe the next meet will be here in New Orleans around Mardi Gras time frame, Feb 2004. Will have more details once we get closer to Feb.

Welcome~

Cheers,
Calvin

I am interested. I am currently rebuilding a 89 SC that I found with bad heads. I am in Ridgeland, Ms and I know that there about 4 to 5 SC's in the Jackson metro area.

Howdy from B/CS

Bought my SC a couple years ago, shes been a daily driver for me and not too shabby, although shes nowhere near the beauty of some of the pics i've seen. Got a dent in the LR above the taillight and the rear corner lights have been replace with non-sc parts. :(

I almost feel bad that I cant restore mine to the levels I would like to, but If it is ever possible I would like to meet up with others and trade war stories over repairs.

I saw that someone else from good ol college station was posting here and I have seen another white SC in town that looks just like mine (only his looks in better shape :p )

Shoot me a message or email if anything is goin on.

Look up posts done by RussellR. His son drives a 95 Black M3 BMW at A&M, but Russell drives a red SC down for the Auto Cross and Drivers edge and other events at an A&M club and at Texas World Speedway. He posted a schedule of events down there and what he intends to go to somewhere in the forum. Or email him.

Also 3 times a year the fordbastards club over on Yahoo groups is a Texas Ford owners club of cars they stoped producing. They have driving events that draw a lot of cars and they are just good people. We had a blast last time at MSR.

The SC is an excelent cornering car against other stockers of lower weight. Just keep her running.

Howdy onEdge24,

Glad to see another SC'er from the B/CS area posting. I own a white 90 but I doubt it was mine you've seen since it has only visited A&M on one or two occasions. I don't take her up there right now, CS drivers honestly scare me. You get such a variety of drivers there that its too volatile for my blood. Mine stays in Houston. I have seen and met several other SC owners though in B/CS. Wanted badly to buy the champange colored one that was on sale on Welborn near the thrift shop but I never stopped to take a closer look at it and lack the money right now.

Will be returning to BCS around the 14th for the semester and will most likely leave my sc at home in Houston. Wouldn't mind meeting up and trading some 'war stories' regarding repairs/problems. My problems keep appearing as soon as I knock a few others out.

Whats going down fellow Sc GulfCoast owners???? I'm over here in the huge town of silsbee, which has exactly two super coupes in it. One is my 95, pearl white, and the other is this guy I kinda know with a 95 pearl white =).

I understand that the SC is a very nice bird, but there are other fast birds out there too. I own a 66 with a 428 that puts out 435HP on the dyno... You know the old birds are not cream puffs.

Just wondering 428QBird, if you were planning to attend the VTCI Southern Regional Convention up here in Dallas, hosted by the NTVTC, on April 29-May2.

Hey, i'll join. Just joined the Southeast Club, but Hot-lanta and C'nooga is too far away. I need some help with my car, so it would be nice having a local bunch to talk with. I've had my car about a month, a gift from my dad (his old car). It needs some work-transmission, exhaust, window gears, sunroof motor, a lubing of everything. Do you all know a trusted Tranny place around the Jackson area to take my ride to? I have a leak, somewhere close to the left front wheel (transmission), and when I drive it around the block and gas it, it is almost as if something is dragging or sliping --- between hitting the gas and accelerating. I can't tell, I am definitely a rookie when it comes to automobile mechanical issues. I'm trying to learn though. Any thoughts? Thanks for assembling the Gulf Coast Chapter.

New to the area, New to the SC community...

Hey everybody, I recently wrecked my 89 LX and upgraded to a 1990 35th Anniversary SC so i'm new to the scene and lovin it. I'm going to grad school at UH here in Houston, TX so if there are any other SC's here we should meet up! Tryin to be nice to her while I build up some upgrade money, otherwise i'll be buying repair stuff not performance stuff... already had some brake issues with that darn ABS controller. Anyone in the area have a good shop to use? I'm still new to the area and don't wanna get ripped off by some random repair shop. Any help is much appreciated!

If you're mechanically inclined and have a few decent tools, and are willing, you won't need a mechanic; especially for ABS issues. As a system, its intidiating, taken one component at a time, its straight forward. Use SCCOA and 90% of any issues you may have have been reported on and documented.

Please respond if you are interested in becoming a part of this community.

This community will serve those SC'ers that are along the gulf coast regions --Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and the panhandle of Florida.

There are a few SC guys here in the Houston area. You will find most of the Houston guys on TCCoA. We might meet up this weekend if I can get some people together.
