Windshield Wiper issue

90 SC 5sp my wipers don't go to "rest" or "Park" so what happens is from thr multi function switch if I turn them off they stop in the position that their in at that exact moment so in order to have them down I have to time it when I turn them off... Anyone know what controls that so in a normal situation if they are moving up and you switch them off they would finish that cycle and stop at the "rest" position I'm asking what makes them finish the cycle and stop when you switch them off is that done through the multifunction switch or the wiper motor itself or some relay?

Park switch (just a set of points that open everytime it gets to bottom of cycle) is in the motor assy. 1 of the wire's going to it always has power anytime ign. is on.

You'd have to check your EVTM for color & position in the connector.

Yes, once you verify that wire has power with the key in run position.
If you do, then its a internal fault & you'll need a replacement motor.
