Wiring question and problem

I have a 1990 thunderbird sc I’m putting together but I am a little confused and all the wiring diagram don’t show it. It’s about the crank sensor it has a 4 pin pull and a separate single plug and my single plug doesn’t have anything connected at the end of it so I was wondering if anyone here knows what it does or is for. I was thinking it my be an insulator for the signal wires but I thought to my self that doesn’t make any sense. I also have a hanging plug under the steering column. What does that go to?

If it's the single connector on the crank sensor that you are concerned about, it is for sheilding.
The connector under dash, I'm not sure about. Does your car have cornering lamps or auto headight dimmer system? Plug may just be for a feature the car is not equipped with.

So the single wire for the crank is an insulator wire. And the one under the column is for the multi function switch sweet thanks.

I don't know for sure thats what the dash connector is. Looking at the pic, I think so? See what others here think. The single wire connector at CPS is for radio interference sheilding.
