WTB: Glovebox lock and key.

I have a 1990 Thunderbird SC that does not have a trunk/glovebox key, so I can only open my trunk with the ignition key on and by pressing the trunk button. I would like to buy a key set and lock for the glovebox and lock cylinder for trunk. If I must buy the whole glovebox, I would like to buy a blue or black glovebox.

Another possibility:
If anybody has a trunk key they want to part with, I can try it with my car and see if it works. I know Fords of this era only have like 16 different teeth patterns and one can unlock another person’s Ford with your key sometimes. I have 4 Super Coupes, so theres approximately a 1 in 4 chance I can use it on one of my cars.

I deleted my trunk lock for a rear camera years ago, and rely on either the glovebox button, or more routinely, the acc button on the Viper alarm remote that of course locks/unlocks the car. If you don't already have an alarm system, the money might be better spent on one vs. another lock set, etc.

Also, if the car has the keypad on the door, when unlocking the driver's door using the keypad, immediately pressing 5-6 will pop the trunk.

Why not rekey the glove box lock to match your trunk key? The cheapest way to do that would be either bring the whole car or just the lock up to a local locksmith and bring your current trunk key and they could take the GB lock apart change the wafers and your good to go not a hard job at all at our shop we would charge about 20-25$ if you brought it to us would take about 15-20 mins
